Green Statistics

Since 2005, Pacific Shredding has recycled 131,892,497 pounds of paper leading to a positive impact on our environment.

By recycling our paper, we save:

0

trees

0

cubic yards of landfill space

0

barrels of oil

0

kWh of electricity

0

pounds of greenhouse gas emissions

0

gallons of
fresh water

As part of the recycling industry, the paper recycling segment collects, sorts, and processes recovered fiber into a specification grade material. That product is sold and transported to paper mills across the world for reprocessing and production into newsprint, new packaging, printer paper, tissue, and a myriad of other paper products.

According to recent statistics, every 2,000 pounds (1 ton) of recycled paper saves approximately:

  • 3.3 Cubic Yards of Landfill Space
  • 17 Trees
  • 9 Barrels of Oil
  • 650 kWh of Electricity
  • 60 Pounds of Air Pollutants
  • 7,000 Gallons of Water
