As part of the recycling industry, the paper recycling segment collects, sorts, and processes recovered fiber into a specification grade material. That product is sold and transported to paper mills across the world for reprocessing and production into newsprint, new packaging, printer paper, tissue, and a myriad of other paper products.

According to recent statistics, every 2,000 pounds (1 ton) of recycled paper saves approximately:

3.3

cubic yards of landfill space

17

trees

9

barrels of oil

650

kWh of electricity

60

pounds of greenhouse gas emissions

7000

gallons of fresh water
